Catch-Up Time! #1

It's Catch-Up Time!

A lot has happened in the last 6 months or so. We had a baby. Andrew and Katelyn both had birthdays. We went on numerous trips. This is an overview in pictures of what happened.

Andrew's birthday party. Andrew turned 5 on January 21st. We had planned a big, fun birthday party for him already (it was supposed to be before the baby was born--she was due on Feb 4th), but when she came early, we ended up having a birthday party when I was barely home from the hospital. Thank goodness for all of our friends who came and helped with everything.
Look! Way too many kids!

Here are a few early pictures of baby Allison. Like mentioned before, Allison was born a little early (almost three weeks), and was already "small for gestational age". It was pretty obvious when she was born that the umbilical cord and placenta were no longer sustaining her (they were both formed strangely), and that she had stopped growing. We are very grateful that Heavenly Father blessed me to have her early and get her out of there!

Anyway, because of that, we had a very tiny, very skinny baby (we realize that if any of you have had a real premie, Allison probably looks big and healthy--but when our first two were 9lb12oz and 8lb7oz, she did not look that way to us). So I fed her as much as possible, and she slowly gained some nice chubbiness.

These pictures were when she was 12 days old, so she had already gained quite a bit (she gained fast at the beginning). But you can still see how skinny she was.

And she doesn't look very happy, either! I guess no newborn really does.

Two Months Old. See? Still small, but much better.

In March, Katelyn turned three years old. We had her birthday party at the same place, only this one was princess themed (of course!)

In April Dave and I (and Allison) went to Hawaii. We met his parents there, and he and his dad attended a medical conference. We had a really nice time.
Allison went 'swimming' for the first time (in the ocean!). Look how thrilled she is.
