Goodbye, Land of the Rising Sun

In July we said our goodbyes to the place we've called home for 3 years, and the people who have become our surrogate family. Before we left, we visited some of our very favorite places. Here are a few pictures of our 'lasts' in Japan...

Tanesashi Seaside

Katelyn was only about Allison's age when we moved to Japan. It's hard to believe!

Signing out of our house...sigh.

I miss our playground.

Andrew saying goodbye to his good friend Hayden.

Goodbye, Yellow house!

Our last trip to the Misawa Aviation Museum
(Andrew in a bubble)

Our last bbq with friends... (can't remember why Katelyn's tongue is blue).

Last trip to Towada Horse park (going down the rolling slide)

Last funny Japanese translation at the horse park
(it reads, "Others garbage which bums").

Last time on the base beach and last time seeing our good friend Mikako.
We miss you, Mikako!

Our last time through Oirase Gorge.

Our last time at Lake Towada

*Sigh*
We miss Japan's natural beauty, the culture of law-abiding, respect and order, and too many other things to list.

But, our adventure continues as we explore a new culture in South Korea!
To Be Continued...
