Some of you have seen the pictures we posted on Facebook while trying to decide where to live. We saw some very interesting houses and a bunch of apartments. Here are pictures of the most interesting...
By far the most interesting place we saw, this next house had some, um, unique features. First up is the "pool" filled with rainwater.
Last but not least, the place we picked. It's an apartment on the 14th floor of a pretty new apartment complex. These photos were taken before we moved in--I'll take more sometime soon.
Because we're on the 14th (the top) floor, we get an extra high ceiling, an attic-type space, and a rooftop patio. It's pretty--but it turns out it's pretty hard to air condition this big of a space with one unit.
These are pictures of how they move your things up to the 14th floor. There is a truck with a special lift on it that goes right up to your apartment window and moves boxes (and sometimes the movers) up and down on a platform. Scary! But interesting. I wish we had gone downstairs to take pictures from ground level.
And, last but not least, our van, complete with a shiny Korean tiger sticker:
