September 2008 Pictures

At the Miss Veedol Beach, near to where we live.

Pictures from "Shipwreck Beach" (as the Americans call it), which is up north of us. There was an amazing amount of trash that had washed up onto the beach, as well as a bunch of old, shipwrecked boats.
While trying to find the beach, we drove up onto a GIANT pile of old seashells (maybe part of a dump? we're not sure). Dave got out of the car to try and see where shipwreck beach was, and there were millions of spiders everywhere. I did not get out of the car.

Andrew explains what happened.

Yes, that is Dave on top of a crumbling boat with my baby girl.

You can see some of the garbage. Andrew and I are looking for beach glass.

At Shimoda Park, a really nice park with a camping area and a lake where swans come and stay every winter.

The kids playing.

Our first family camping trip.

We had a lot of fun, but Katelyn did not want to sleep in a tent. It was a rough night.

Yay!!! It's finally morning!!!

The place we camped at. There were cabins, campsights, a few big buildings, a big playground and a big fire pit. It was a nice place.

Dave's car.

My attempt at making ratatouille that looked like the stuff in the movie.
It looks like it has ham in it, but it's eggplant.

Andrew on his first big-boy bike, that he helped earn.

Kids in a tub.
